A
Pixel Graphics
(or bitmap) is made up of individual pixels, the pixels, built up. Saving the image for each of the pixels of the color value is stored. Reduced to a pixel image, then it automatically reduces the number of pixels of an image and loses the information you can not zoom during a subsequent restore.
Known pixel graphics programs:
Adobe Photoshop
Gimp
Corel PHOTO-PAINT
Paint.NET
A vector graphics
is made of geometric shapes such as lines, circles, Rectangles and polygons constructed. When saving these are stored with as little information. For a line is only about their start and end point or a circle for the position of the center and its radius. A vector graphic can be as often reduced and enlarged without loss. Known vector graphics programs:
Corel DRAW
Adobe Illustrator Inkscape
